What can I expect at my dental crown appointment?
Each patient’s oral health is unique and your crown treatment also requires unique and customized care. Dental Crown treatment typically requires at least two visits to our practice to complete.
On your first visits please prepare to spend about 2 hours with our doctor and team. Dr. Chad and his assistants will prepare the tooth that is in need of a dental crown by removing any damage or decay to restore the tooth to a healthy state. Dental records and impressions will be taken of your tooth. Our team will then custom fabricate a temporary crown to be placed over your tooth until your next appointment. There is about a 2-3 week time between your first visit and your final visit. During this time your dental records are sent to an off-site master ceramics dental laboratory where your all porcelain crown will be created. All porcelain crowns have the vitality to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth. When your custom dental crown is ready, you will return to our office for a one-hour appointment. During your final visits, your temporary crown will be removed and your permanent crown will be bonded to your tooth.
